Man arrested in connection to shootings in St. Charles
ST. CHARLES (AP) - St. Charles County Sheriff's deputies have arrested an 18-year-old man who they say shot his ex-girlfriend and her father.
Lt. David Tiefenbrun told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch the 18-year-old woman and her 37-year-old father were shot at a gas station on Saturday night. He said the woman had met up with her ex-boyfriend and called her father after an argument.
Tiefenbrun said her father arrived and the men got into a physical confrontation. He said the ex-boyfriend shot the ex-girlfriend in her hand and shoulder. The father was shot in the face.
The woman was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. The father was taken to an area hospital and released.
Authorities have not named the suspected shooter or the victims. They say they plan to file charges.
