Man Convicted of First-Degree Murder
Kevin Harmon was found guilty of first-degree murder Wednesday in the killing of Steven Lawrence Jr. Harmon confessed to second-degree murder, kidnapping and armed criminal action. After three hours of deliberation, jurors convicted him of first-degree murder conviction. Lawrence was kidnapped in August 2004. His body was at an abandoned farm house with his throat slashed. Brandon Anderson, another suspect in the case, faces the same charges when his trial resumes in Gallatin on March 7.
