Man faces several charges in Springfield home burglary
SPRINGFIELD (AP) - A man faced several charges after Springfield authorities said he broke into a woman's home, put on her clothes and then left the scene on her bicycle.
The Springfield News-Leader reported Ryan W. Lorton is charged with burglary, theft, tampering with a motor vehicle and resisting arrest.
A probable cause statement said two women arrived home last week to find a door open. Several items were missing from the residence, including the bicycle. A car parked at the home also had been burglarized.
The statement said one of the women later saw Lorton wearing her clothes and pushing her bicycle down the street. Police were called and chased after him on foot. Lorton eventually fell down, and he was arrested.
It wasn't immediately clear if Lorton has an attorney.
