Man Found Dead After St. Louis Fire
ST. LOUIS - A 79-year-old St. Louis man is dead after a fire at his home.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch says the victim was Charles Henry. He died in a blaze in the Wells Goodfellow neighborhood.
The fire was reported at 7:45 a.m. Friday and took firefighters some time to get under control. Firefighters believe the fire began on the first floor, spread through the walls and burned through parts of the roof.
Fire officials believe Henry may have been trying to put out the fire himself, but an investigation continues. Neighbors tried to help but were blocked by the smoke and flames.
