Man Gets 8 Years for Peeping at Neighbors
MARTHASVILLE (AP) - A St. Louis-area man has been ordered to spend eight years in prison after admitting he peeped into neighbors' homes and once broke in to one residence to pilfer condoms.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that 26-year-old Jaybirth Harris of Marthasville had pleaded guilty in Warren County after pleading guilty to charges of burglary, attempted burglary, theft and invasion of privacy.
Prosecutors charged him in April with the misconduct they said happened last winter and for a separate break-in in 2009.
Women living in Harris' neighborhood had filed complaints dating to 2009 about a prowler, and video captured by a surveillance camera installed at one home led investigators to Harris.
