Man jailed, charged in wounding of 2 Missouri officers
ARNOLD (AP) — A 52-year-old man is jailed on $750,000 cash bond after being accused of shooting and wounding two suburban St. Louis police officers who responded to a reported disturbance.
Jefferson County prosecutors charged Noel Kuebler Jr. of Arnold with three counts each of assault on a law enforcement officer and armed criminal action. He's also charged with one felony count of resisting arrest.
Authorities say officers responding to a disturbance call Friday afternoon found Kuebler hiding in a bush with a shotgun. Police say Kuebler fired, wounding the officers in the face, shoulder and hand with pellets.
Authorities say that Kuebler then went into his house, later emerged and was arrested.
The wounded officers were treated at a hospital.
It's not immediately clear if Kuebler has an attorney.
