Man Released In Land Dispute
The dispute dates back to 1994. Warren says he inherited a large amount of land from his adopted mother's estate, but family members disputed the claim. Warren refused to sign the deeds to transfer the land, so a judge sent him to jail.
"One of the things people of color have been doing is giving in, and they aren't ashamed to admit it because they they know people will take something from them, I've been gone for two and a half months," Warren said.
Warren says he has spent more than $125,000 fighting the legal system. He is still in contempt of court, but the judge allowed him to go home. The Columbia preacher will now return to Mount Celestial Baptist Church #2.
