Man with previous sexual misconduct charges arrested again
FULTON – Fulton police officers arrested a Bunceton man with previous sexual misconduct charges Thursday for two additional counts of sexual misconduct.
Fulton police said officers arrested 29-year-old Jason Coope after witnesses said they saw him masturbating inside a car.
Police said officers first went to a business off North Bluff Street, but Coope left the parking lot before officers came.
Officers said they saw Coope’s car in the parking lot of another business close by a little while later and arrested him there.
Police said Coope faces charges for two counts of second-degree sexual misconduct.
Officers said they took Coope to the Callaway County Jail. At the jail, officers said Coope initially gave them a fake name. Once officers discovered his real name, they found out he had warrants for his arrest for sexual misconduct and indecent exposure.
Coope was in the Callaway County Jail Thursday evening on a $2,500 cash-only bond for two charges he faced Thursday and a $26,150 bond for the warrants.
