Massage Therapist Pleads Guilty to Spying
ST. CHARLES (AP) - A St. Charles massage therapist who pleaded guilty to secretly videotaping naked clients has received an 8-year prison sentence
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that 39-year-old Kirk Jackson was sentenced Thursday after a June guilty plea to 14 counts of invasion of privacy. Similar charges are pending in St. Louis and St. Louis County.
He was first charged in March 2012 after a female client saw a video camera hidden under a tissue box cover at Jackson's Atlas Massage Therapy office.
Police say they later found 140 videos taken by Jackson and saved on a computer of women in restroom stalls, tanning beds and massage therapy rooms.
Jackson is a former firefighter in the U.S. Army Reserves and an ex-corrections officer. He apologized to his victims at the hearing.
