Mauk still suspended, Lock to start on homecoming
COLUMBIA - The University of Missouri football team announced Monday that quarterback Maty Mauk's indefinite suspension will continue through this week. Freshman quarterback Drew Lock will get his second straight start in Mauk's absence.
Malik Cuellar, who was suspended along with Mauk last week, has been reinstated by the team and is listed as the No. 2 left tackle on the team's latest depth chart.
Mauk and Cuellar were both suspended for unspecified violations of team rules ahead of last week's game against South Carolina.
In his first career start, Lock went 21-for-28 for 136 yards, two touchdowns and zero interceptions.
Missouri takes on Florida this Saturday for Homecoming. The Gators are the No. 11 team in the country in this week's Associated Press poll.
Kickoff at Faurot Field is set for 6:30 pm.
