Men's Golf Finishes 11th in Missouri Intercollegiate
SUNRISE BEACH, MO -- The Columbia College men's golf team found the going a little bit tougher in the final round of the Missouri Intercollegiate on Thursday. After finishing the first day in eighth place the Cougars finished 11th overall in a strong field 16 teams. The Cougars shot a three-round total of 949 (312-318-319; +85) to tie with Evangel University for 11th place.
Hunter Parrish led the way individually for Columbia with a two-day card of 230 (75-78-77; +14). Parrish finished in a five-way tie for 13th place.
Tyler Kolb was the second place finisher for the Cougars, carding a three-round mark of 237 (79-75-83; +21). Mike Wilson finished with a total of 238 (73-84-81; +22) and Logan Murphy posted a total of 248 (88-81-79; +32) for the tournament. Colin Hendrickson rounded out the team scoring for Columbia with a total of 253 (85-86-82; +37).
The Cougars return to the course in a little over a week to compete in the Wildcat Invitational. Culver-Stockton College is set to host the two-day event at in Quincy, Illinois on September 16 and 17.
