Meth Bust Made in Missouri Church Parking Lot
PONCE DE LEON, Mo. (AP) - A southwest Missouri woman is jailed following a meth bust in a church parking lot -- on Sunday. Authorities in Stone County say a deputy noticed a woman in a suspicious vehicle outside a church in Ponce de Leon. KOLR-TV reports investigators have had previous reports of meth use at the parking lot.
Items in the vehicle suggested it was a mobile methamphetamine lab. The deputy called in agents from a drug task force, and the 32-year-old woman was arrested.
Online court records show Amy Hammers of Ponce de Leon charged with four felony drug counts. No defense lawyer was listed Monday, and no phone number could be found in the defendant's name. A judge set bond at $25,000, cash only.
