Metro seeks public input on Ferguson transit hub
FERGUSON (AP) - St. Louis' regional mass transit agency is hosting a public meeting to get feedback from its north St. Louis County bus riders and share details about a planned hub in Ferguson.
The open house for Metro riders is scheduled from 2 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Riverview-Hall Transit Center in St. Louis. Metro is also accepting online feedback.
Officials of the Metro hope to open the new Pershall Road transit center in the fall of 2015. It would include an indoor passenger waiting area, restrooms, concession sales and a free park-and-ride lot for commuters.
The transit agency says North County passengers account for nearly one-fifth of its bus business.
