JEFFERSON CITY- The MIAA honored 72 Lincoln University athletes for their academic performances during the 2012-13 school year when the league released its annual academic awards on Monday.

In addition to the 72 Blue Tigers listed on the MIAA Academic Honor Roll, Lincoln also had six students earn MIAA Academic Excellence Awards and 10 athletes receive Scholar Athlete Awards.

To earn one of the league's academic excellence awards, student athletes must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 4.00 and have at least two terms of attendance at the certifying member institution, excluding summer terms.
