Mid-Missouri Bank Robbers Caught in Mexico
WACO, Texas (AP) - Three suspected bank robbers caught in Mexico have been indicted over holdups in Texas and Missouri.
A federal grand jury in Waco on Tuesday indicted 25-year-old Jeffrey Brent Heckman, 23-year-old Jacob Thomas Norris and 23-year-old Alexia Quentasha Baker, all from Macon, Mo. Each has been charged with conspiracy to commit bank robbery and bank robbery.
Norris and Baker are also charged with being accessories after the fact.
Prosecutors say the suspects have been linked to the July 8 holdup of Merchants & Farmers Bank in Columbia, Mo., and the July 11 robbery of Texell Credit Union in Temple, Texas.
Heckman, Norris and Baker were arrested Sept. 5 in Puerto
Vallarta, Mexico, then deported the next day. Investigators say all three have appeared in court in Houston, pending transfer to Waco.
