Mid-Missouri Chipotle restaurants affected by credit card security breach
COLUMBIA - Some Chipotle restaurant locations in mid-Missouri were affected by a credit card security incident.
According to Chipotle's website, the two locations in Columbia and the location in Jefferson City were affected between late March and early April.
The restaurant's website said the malware searched for track data, which sometimes can include a cardholder's name, as well as the card number, expiration date and internal verification code.
The information would have come from the magnetic stripe of a payment card as it was routed through the register.
However, the restaurant said there was no indication that customer information was affected.
