Mid-Missouri company expands to Sedalia, creates jobs
SEDALIA - The Missouri Department of Economic Development said Friday the 8760 Service Group would relocate its corporate headquarters to a larger facility in Sedalia, creating more than 40 jobs.
The $4 million investment would put the maintenance, construction and fabrication company in a 28,000 square foot facility. The company, which currently employs 30 people, planned to more than double its workforce with positions in sales, recruiting, project managing, welding and rigging, among others.
Buck Barnes, the owner of 8760 Service Group said, "This is a great community and opportunity to build our corporate headquarters and fabrication facility."
Sedalia Mayor Stephen Galliher said, "We are pleased that 8760 Service Group has chosen Sedalia to establish their corporate headquarters. Our companies are a huge part of the growth we are experiencing because they are able to provide much needed customer service to our manufacturing sector."
The Missouri Department of Economic Development offered the company an economic incentive package if it meets job creation criteria. That package would help the company with its expansion if it meets the guidelines.
Rusty Kahrs, President of the Economic Development Board said, "This construction of 8760 Service Group's corporate headquarters will be a great addition to our community. This is even more exciting to have them locate in Thompson Meadows Industrial Park, which is a Missouri Certified Site and an ATT Fiber Park."
