COLUMBIA- The Columbia Public Schools Foundation donated more than $50,000 as part of its Kits for Kids campaign.

The campaign aims to provide school supplies for elementary students in the school district.

Due to COVID-19, the foundation canceled its annual fall event that was set to take place this month.

To replace the event, the foundation asked its sponsors and donors to contribute to the school supply campaign.

The foundation pledged $25,000 and raised $34,230 from donors and sponsors.
