COLUMBIA- 300 students from across the country are in Columbia September 21st-24th for the Minority Student Achievement Network's national conference. This year's theme is "Defy the Stats by Defining Yourself," a theme picked out by some of Columbia Public Schools Minority Achievement scholars.

The conference brings together students to discuss barriers minorities face in school and work to develop solutions they can take back to their schools.

Columbia Public Schools participates in the nation-wide  MSAN program and this is the first year they have hosted the event.

25 students from CPS are involved in the conference this year.
