Missing Jefferson City boy found in Nebraska
OMAHA, Neb. - Omaha Police found a boy Friday after his mother abducted him from Jefferson City Thursday.
Jefferson City police got an anonymous tip around 1 p.m. Friday that 2-year-old Colton Dominquez and his mom, Billie Jo Linhart, were in Omaha. Jefferson City police told Omaha police who went to the location and took custody of the child around 2:15 p.m. Police are working to return Colton back to his legal guardian.
Omaha police took Linhart into custody, and Jefferson City police said she will be transported to the Cole County Jail at a later date.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol issued an Endangered Person Advisory, and Cole County officials issued a warrant for Linhart's arrest Thursday after Linhart didn't return Colton to his court-appointed guardian. Jefferson City Police believed Colton was in danger due to his mom's past behavior.
