JEFFERSON CITY - Gov. Eric Greitens made a proclamation Tuesday that U.S. and Missouri flags at state buildings in every Missouri county and the City of St. Louis fly at half-staff Aug. 15 to honor Sgt. Talon Leach.

Leach, 27, and 15 others died when the KC-130 transport plane crashed in Mississippi. All but one were U.S. Marines; the 16th victim was a Navy corpsman.

A Fulton-area native, Leach went to North Callaway High School.

In addition, Gov. Greitens ordered that the U.S. and Missouri flags at all state buildings in Callaway County fly at half-staff Aug. 16-22.
