Missouri Notches School Record-Finish in Learfield Directors' Cup
COLUMBIA - After six of its teams finished in the top 16 nationally, the University of Missouri placed 33rd in the Learfield Directors' Cup standings, its best finish in school history.
The cup, awarded to colleges and universities across the country for excellence across athletics, was awarded to first-place Stanford for the past year.
Missouri's best finish during the past year was the wrestling team's fifth place finish in St. Louis at the NCAA Tournament in March.
Points are awarded for the cup standings based on schools' finishes in 20 sports, 10 men's and 10 women's.
