COLUMBIA - Coach Frank Haith and his staff have used their recruiting skills to land another potential Tigers. 2012 recruit Aaron Scales from High Point Christian Academy in North Carolina, gave Missouri a verbal (non-binding) commitment on Saturday. The 6-foot-9, 265 pound power forward is the second player in the 2012 class, joing Quantel Denson, to reach a Missouri verbal agreement with the Tigers. Haith and his staff will have up to eight scholarships available for the 2012 recruiting class.

Scales had received offers from Washington State, East Carolina and Cleveland State but was also drawing attention following his performance in the Peach Jam from Marquette and Wake Forest.

Though players cannot sign National Letters of Intent until November 9, Scales says he plans to visit the University of Missouri campus in late August once fall classes have begun.
