Missouri Red Cross volunteers headed to Louisiana to help with flood relief
JEFFERSON CITY – Volunteers from Missouri headed to Louisiana to help with flood relief.
American Red Cross of Central and Northern Missouri Executive Director David Griffith said three Red Cross volunteers would be in Louisiana for two weeks.
"The Red Cross is making sure people in Louisiana get the help they need," Griffith said. "Our thoughts and concerns go out to everyone in Louisiana affected by the devastating flooding, and we are working around the clock to provide assistance to all those lives affected."
The three people headed to Louisiana are Arlene Libbert, Seth Gordon and Lenna Kay Griffin. This is Libbert’s fourth out-of-state deployment and the first deployment for both Gordon and Griffin.
Griffith said the Red Cross is providing health services and client casework to help thousands of people forced out of their homes by the floods.
