Missouri State To Build New Dorm in Historic Neighborhood
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) -- Missouri State University is planning a new residence hall that will blend into the historic Springfield neighborhood.
The new 300-bed building will have a contemporary interior design, but officials say its facade fit well into the historic district.
Gary Stewart, director of residence life and services, told The Springfield News-Leader, that the new residence hall could be ready as soon as fall 2013.
Instead of seeking a private developer, Missouri State plans to borrow money for this project and build it by itself.
