Missouri teen accused of harassment for Facebook post
FULTON (AP) — A central Missouri teen has been arrested on a harassment charge and could face additional counts after police say he inappropriately posted photos of several schoolmates on social media.
The Columbia Daily Tribune reports the 17-year-old Fulton boy is accused of posting pictures of female South Callaway High School students on a Facebook page titled "South Callaway's Sexiest."
Callaway County Sheriff's spokesman Clay Chism said the sheriff's office on Feb. 5 started investigating the Facebook page containing images of the girls and references to "derogatory, offensive and sexual terms."
Chism said investigators followed numerous leads and obtained multiple court orders to help identify the owner of the Facebook page.
The teen, who also is a student at South Callaway was arrested and released from jail pending a court appearance.
