Missouri United Way Executive Director to step down
COLUMBIA - Tim Rich announced Tuesday he will step down from his position as executive director at Heart of Missouri United Way (HMUW) effective March 12.
Rich was appointed to the position six years ago as a part of a new business model called community impact.
"Tim has provided strong leadership to implement the board's vision of this new work," said Board President Cameron Dunafon. "Tim has an exciting opportunity with an emerging company, and we are fortunate to have a skilled team of staff in place and strong board presence that will make us successful through this transition."
The board is developing a strategy to fill the position.
Rich has worked with non-profit and government agencies for nearly 30 years.
In a letter to the board, Rich said he has enjoyed working with The United Way.
"I love the work of HMUW and have been greatly honored to lead this great organization over the past six years," Rich said.
I-Tech Development Corporation announced Tuesday Rich will be its new president and chief operating officer effective March 13.
Rich said he is excited about this new position.
"This is an amazing company founded by visionary people. Their current focus on providing life-saving technologies connects strongly with my desire to make a real difference in this world, Rich said. "I am honored and humbled to be selected as their president and look forward to expanding opportunities for innovators in this field."
