Missouri volleyball falls to Florida in close match
COLUMBIA - The Florida Gators came out on top in a close 3-2 win over the Missouri Tigers on Wednesday.
Wins were split between the teams in the first two sets. The tension picked up in the third set when the offenses drove the winning score up to 29-27.
Missouri put up a fight to stay in the game. Kylie Deberg leads the SEC in kills and continues to break her season high record with 27 kills this match. That wasn't enough to outscore Florida though.
The Tigers won the fourth set to tie the match, but ultimately fell to the Gators 15-12 in the fourth.
Missouri remains a spot ahead of Florida in the SEC in hitting percentages despite this loss.
The Tigers will try to take home a win from Texas A&M on Sunday and improve their 14-4 record.
