The group "Missourians for Health Care Freedom" raised nearly $23,000 in just twelve days.

The campaign committee supports Proposition C, the ballot measure rejecting federal health reform.

State lawmakers have contributed 65% percent of that amount.

Here's a look at some of the largest donators:

  • Missourians for Mayer, supporting Republican Rob Mayer for Senate, contributed 2,500 dollars.
  • Republican Ron Richard from House District 129, donated 2,500 dollars.
  • Citizens for Brad Lager, Republican Senator, donated 5,000 dollars.
  • Missourians for Jack Goodman, Republican House Member, donated 5,000 dollars.

The group's treasurer Patrick Tuohey says the support from lawmakers reflects strong support at the capitol for the measure and strong fundraising efforts contributed to the group's success.
