Mizzou Athlete Nominated for 2014 NCAA Woman of the Year
COLUMBIA - Former Missouri volleyball player Molly Kreklow has been nominated for the 2014 NCAA Woman of the Year.
The honor goes to a graduating female athlete who has distinguished herself throughout her collegiate career in academics, athletics, service and leadership.
After leading Mizzou to the SEC Championship and a perfect 34-0 regular season last year Kreklow has been showered with off-season awards which includes a nomination for the SEC Athlete of the Year. She was also named an AVCA First Team All-American and she is SEC Player of the Year and first team All-SEC honors.
She started every game of her career. Kreklow not only led the NCAA this past season in assists, but she finished second in Mizzou record books with 5,366 assists. She also helped rewrote the record books for Mizzou in wins, conference wins, consecutive wins and sweep.
Kreklow has spent her summer setting for the USA Volleyball National Team and is expected to begin her professional career overseas later this year.
