HOUSTON, Texas - The Mizzou Baseball offense struggled to keep up with Baylor University in their opening game for the Shriners Hospitals for Children College Classic on Friday afternoon, losing 4-2.

Junior Ian Bedell started the Tigers off on the right foot, earning the first run of the game and leading the Tigers with 6.1 innings of work from the mound. Baylor scored two in the third and the teams were tied with two a piece at the bottom of the fifth before the Bears went unanswered for two more.

Despite the loss, hitter Mark Vierling saw his fourth multi-hit game this year at the plate, tallying six total hits for his past two games played.

The Tigers will play their second game at the 2020 Shriners Hospitals for Children College Classic on Saturday morning against the No. 22 ranked Oklahoma University.
