Mizzou Baseball Loses to Purdue
The third game of the series was delayed Saturday afternoon, because of a Tornado Warning, and golf-ball size hail. The Tigers led the Boilermakers 5-0 in the bottom of the fourth when play was stopped.
In Sunday's game Purdue's Mitch Hilligoss led off the game with a double and later scored the first run. Each team scored a run in the second inning and the Tigers took the lead with a three-run third inning. Mizzou had six hits in the third, including a two-out, two-run double by senior Zane Taylor.
Mizzou will play next week in College Station, Texas with a three-game series with Texas A&M. The series will open at 7 p.m. on Friday. The second game of the series will be at 6 p.m. on Saturday and the series finale will be at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
