Mizzou Hosts Celebration at MU Student Center

COLUMBIA -  The MU community is encouraged to attend a celebration of The University of Missouri joining the Southeastern Conference Sunday, November 6th at 4:30.  Chancellor Brady Deaton, Athletic Director Mike Alden, University of Florida President Bernie Machen, and SEC Commissioner Mike Silve invite the Mizzou Community to the MU Student Center for the celebration and a press conference.  The SEC's presidents and chancellors acted unanimously today and announced the University of Missouri will be its 14th conference member starting July 1, 2012.  Missouri will also be the fourth institution in the Southeastern Conference to hold membership in the prestigious Association of American Universities, joining University of Florida, Texas A&M University and Vanderbilt University.
