COLUMBIA - Mizzou can mark down day three of practice in the books. The Tigers got to gear up Saturday morning with shoulder pads. Marcus Murphy was seen with his arm in a sling after suffering a rotator cuff injury this offseason. Coach Pinkel noted a couple more injuries including Gahn McGaffie's strained hamstring and Eric Waters' turf toe.

Pinkel likes the intensity so far. "Overall it was a good practice, I thought we had a lot of intensity. When shoulder pads go back on the intensity level cranks up," said Pinkel. "You also gotta be smart about how you practice so. I saw a lot of things on both sides of the ball and I thought it was just a great effort. Match that every day we're gonna become a better football team."

This offseason the Mizzou defensive line lost a star lineman Aldon Smith to the NFL, but that doesn't mean the defensive line still isn't deep. By the end of the 2010 season, the defense allowed the sixth fewest points in the nation.

Brad Madison, Jacquies Smith, Terrell Resono, and Dominique Hamilton all return to the deep defensive line. The defensive line feels confident headed into this season. "Too many people, we've got and that's the thing, I don't think we're gonna have a ten man rotation but everybody's good," said Missouri senior defensive lineman Dominique Hamilton.
