Mizzou men's basketball signs guard C.J. Roberts
COLUMBIA- On Monday the Mizzou men's basketball program officially signed guard C.J. Roberts from North Richland Hills, Texas.
Roberts ranked as the 96th-best prospect in the Class of 2017 by Rivals.com. The Texas Basketball Review also ranked him as the seventh-best recruit in Texas after his junior season.
A 6-0, 180-pound combo guard, Roberts led his Richland High School team to a Texas 6A State Championship appearance as a junior in 2015-16.
Roberts averaged 22.5 points per game last season, converting 52 percent of his field goal attempts. He scored 20 or more points on 13 different occasions, including three 30 points games.
The son of Catrisa and Craig Roberts Sr., Robert’s full name is Craig Roberts Jr., but he goes by C.J.
Roberts plans to pursue a sports management degree at the University of Missouri.
The guard also considered scholarship offers from Georgia, Ole Miss, LSU, Texas Tech and Louisiana Tech.
