Mizzou soccer falls 1-0 to TCU in overtime heartbreaker
Columbia - The Mizzou soccer team dropped a second consecutive home overtime heart breaker on Sunday, as TCU defeated the Tigers 1-0. With under six minutes remaining in the first overtime period, Texas Christian forward Maddy Warren got to the top of the box on a counter attack and fired a shot into the lower right corner and past Mizzou goalie Kelsey Dossey. The Tigers had multiple chances to take the lead at the end of the second half and in overtime, but just couldn’t find the back of the net. Mizzou falls to (1-3-1) on the year with the loss, while TCU improves (5-0-1). Four of the Tigers first five games have gone into overtime, but the Tigers have been able to pull out a win in just one of those very competitive contests. The Tigers will hope for better luck on Friday in Los Angeles, when Mizzou takes on seventh ranked USC.
