Mizzou soccer falls to Texas A&M in high-scoring affair
COLLEGE STATION - Mizzou soccer lost its third straight in a high scoring affair with Texas A&M on Sunday.
Mizzou got off to an early 1-0 lead, with Sarah Luebbert scoring less than three minutes into the game, but the Aggies turned the game around immediately.
Texas A&M pressured the Tigers and scored three goals to go into halftime up 3-1.
Texas A&M kept on rolling out of the second half with Ally Watt scoring her third and fourth goals of the game to bring the score to 5-1.
Mizzou wouldn't go down without a fight, as Julissa Cisneros scored a penalty kick in the 61st minute and added another goal to bring the score to 5-3 in the 78th minute, but it wasn't enough.
The Aggies stopped the comeback from there, defeating the Tigers 5-3.
Mizzou falls to 7-9-1 overall and 1-7-1 in SEC play, while Texas A&M improves to 12-3-3 overall and 6-2-1 in conference.
The Tigers will play their last regular season game against Mississippi State at home on Halloween at 7:15 p.m.
