Mizzou soccer wins third straight match
Columbia - Junior forward Sarah Luebbert netted two goals to power the Mizzou soccer team to its third straight win with a 2-1 victory over Portland State. Luebbert led the team in goals last season with seven, but her two today were her first two of the season. Mizzou dominated possession for most of the afternoon, evident in the Tigers 16 shot advantage.
After a slow start to the season that was filled with close losses, the Tigers have begun to find the back of the net with five goals in the last three games. The Tigers finished non-conference play with a 3-4-1 record.
The final nine matchups of the regular season are all SEC games, beginning with a road tilt on Thursday against Georgia. The Mizzou soccer team will be back home on Sunday the 23rd with Vanderbilt traveling to Columbia.
