Mizzou softball's Fagan earns SEC Player of the Week honors
COLUMBIA - Missouri softball junior shortstop Sami Fagan earned Southeastern Conference Player of the Week honors, the SEC announced Monday.
Fagan, a Dunnellon, Florida native, hit .647 with three home runs, 12 RBIs, three doubles and a triple over five games last week as the No. 20 Tigers went 5-0.
She went 5-for-7 with four RBIs in two games at Western Illinois.
Her dominance at the plate continued during a three-game series at Arkansas. Fagan hit a home run and had three RBIs in the series opener. She hit two home runs and a triple in the second game of the series and also added an RBI in the series finale on a sacrifice fly.
Fagan is hitting .388 with 53 RBIs and 47 hits, all of which are team-highs this season.
