COLUMBIA - The Mizzou Volleyball team is ready for its second season in the SEC with three returning All-SEC players and five upperclassmen.

The schedule for the Tigers was announced Tuesday.

The season will open with the annual Tiger Invitational at the Hearnes Center from August 30-31. This year the Tigers will face South Dakota, Pittsburgh, Idaho State and Arkansas State.

"Scheduling has become a very important part of what we do here at Mizzou and we feel like we have put together a very competitive nonconference slate that will prepare us for the rigors of SEC play," head coach Wayne Kreklow said.

Mizzou will host matches against notable SEC competition including Florida, Kentucky, and Arkansas at the Hearnes Center.

The Tigers will also play in back-to-back non-conference tournaments at Yale and Rice in early September.
