Mizzou volleyball now sits fifth in the SEC with a conference record of 4-2.

Columbia, MO - Mizzou volleyball (14-4, 4-2) was unstoppable this weekend at Mizzou arena. On Friday, the Tigers defeated South Carolina in straight sets. Sunday brought with it more of the same as Mizzou dominated Arkansas in three sets (25-20, 25-19, 25-16).

Illinois transfer Kylie Deberg was fantastic for the Tigers, finishing on 14 kills to go along with four aces and five digs. Deberg has recorded double digit kills in all but one match this season. Andrea Fuentes was outstanding as well at setter, assisting on 35 kills while digging five balls and blocking four. The redshirt freshman from Puerto Rico was important in setting up Deberg and company for 41 kills on a .283 hitting percentage.

Sunday’s win was Mizzou’s ninth consecutive victory over the Razorbacks. A road trip to Ole Miss to take on the Rebels, who are coming off their first conference victory, is up next for the Tigers.
