Mizzou Volleyball Falls to No. 9 Texas

COLUMBIA - The Mizzou volleyball team fell to No. 9 Texas, 3-1 Saturday night at the Hearnes Center. The loss drops the Tigers to 20-12 on the year and 6-9 in Big 12 play with one match remaining in the regular season.

Sophomore Lisa Henning led the Tigers with 17 kills and nine digs while senior Brittney Brimmage posted nine kills. The match was the Tigers' senior night for Brimmage and libero Priscilla Armendariz who were both honored before the match. Brimmage finished with her nine kills while pitching in four blocks and Armendariz had a team-high 15 digs in the match.

Freshmen Katie O'Brien and Emily Wilson had seven kills and six kills. While freshman Sarah Meister added 12 digs in the four sets and classmate Jade Hayes pulled in seven. Brimmage led the Tigers defensively at the net with four blocks.

Mizzou will be back in action next Saturday in the season-finale at Texas Tech at 7 p.m.
