Mizzou Women Finish 17th in Athens

ATHENS, GA -- Mizzou Women's Golf finished 17th at the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic on Sunday after scoring 305-310-310--925 through three rounds of play. Alabama (-10) took home the trophy, while Georgia (+2), Florida (+3), Virginia (+9) and South Carolina (+11) rounded out the top five teams. Tied for 53rd in the tournament, Ariana Savich led the Tigers through all three rounds, finishing 12-over-par.

Savich recorded three birdies, one in each round, to score 75-75-78--228 on the tournament. Alina Rogers finished just two strokes behind Savich as she went 76-78-76--230 on the tournament. Rogers recorded two birdies in the third round to match her first round score of 4-over-par.

Hannah Lovelock finished 15-over-par to close the tournament; she had a third-round score 6-over-par and recorded a birdie on the 18th hole to tie for 66th place. Taylor Gohn tallied three birdies in the third round to match her first round score of 6-over-par. She closed the tournament 20-over-par, while Marissa Cook shot 24-over-par after three rounds.

Next up for the Tigers is the Ole Miss Rebel Intercollegiate on April 6.
