COLUMBIA - Mizzou wrestling claimed its third-straight Mid-American Conference (MAC) Wrestling Championships title Sunday at the Hearnes Center. This is Mizzou's fourth consecutive conference win which includes the 2012 Big 12 Championship title.

Tiger grapplers combined to score 139.5 team points this weekend, which set a new MAC record for most points scored during a MAC Wrestling Championships meet.

Redshirt senior Alan Waters was the 125 lb. MAC Champion, and also received the 2015 MAC Wrestling Championships Most Outstanding Wrestler award.

Fellow redshirt senior Drake Houdashelt tallied his fourth career conference championship when he took the 149 lb. MAC title, making him the first Tiger wrestler to earn four individual conference titles.

Mizzou took home five individual championship titles Sunday. Additionally, all 10 wrestlers for Mizzou earned automatic bids to the 2015 NCAA Wrestling Championships. This is the third season that Mizzou has sent all 10 wrestlers to the NCAA finals, but the first one in which all wrestlers earned automatic bids. In the past two seasons, the only other times Mizzou has sent all 10, there have been some at-large bids.

The five champions for the Tigers were Waters (125), redshirt sophomore Zach Synon (133), Houdashelt (149), sophomore J'den Cox (197) and redshirt senior Devin Mellon (HWT). Because of their first place wins, all five also received 2015 All-MAC First Team honors.

Waters finishes his Mizzou career with three conference titles while Synon and Mellon each earned their first conference titles. Cox wrestled his way to his second consecutive conference title.

Sophomore Joey Lavalle (157), redshirt senior Joey Eblen (174) and redshirt freshman Willie Miklus (184) took second in their weight classes, which earned them All-MAC Honorable Mention honors.
