Mo. Police Continue Investigation Into Shootings
FULTON (AP) - Police investigating a series of fatal shootings in central Missouri say they still have work to do after a man was captured as a suspect.
Sgt. Robert Bruchsaler of the Mid-Missouri Major Case Squad said law officers would likely be working all day Friday collecting evidence and interviewing people.
Joshua William Maylee was taken into custody Thursday afternoon in central Missouri. Maylee has not been charged in the shootings.
This week, a gunman killed 48-year-old Eugene Pinet and his 57-year-old wife Jackie at their home. In a separate incident, a shooter killed 46-year-old Jeffrey Werdehausen and injured his 41-year-old wife Gina at their home.
Police say Maylee and the victims were connected by past dealings but have not elaborated.
