Moberly Police Make Multiple Arrests
MOBERLY - The Moberly Police Department arrested Somer Blackburn, 19, on a Randolph County warrant Friday. Officials issued the warrant for failure to appear in court. The original charges against Blackburn were failure to show a valid operator's license and failure to wear a seatbelt. Blackburn posted $69.50 in bond and was released from custody.
Police also arrested two 19-year-old women for shoplifting on the 1300 block of East U.S. 54 Friday. Both posted $233.50 bond. Police then released them from custody.
Friday brought a third incident for Moberly police. They arrested David Hearing, 25 on a Moberly Municipal warrant for failure to appear in court. He was also arrested for unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Herring posted an undisclosed amount of bond, and police released him from custody.
The Moberly Police Department was also busy on Saturday. Police arrested a 17-year-old male for possession of tobacco with bond set at $183.50. The arrest occurred in the 800 block of West Reed Street in Moberly. He was later released from custody on summons.
Police also arrested a 47-year-old male for stealing in the 900 block of Sinnock Avenue. They classified the crime as a misdemeanor and set bond at $1,500. He posted bond and was released from custody.
On Willott Avenue in Moberly, police arrested Kirsten James, 20, on two Randolph County warrants. Police charged her with failure to appear in court and tampering with a motor vehicle. Bond for the charges is $134.50 and $550 respectively. James was unable to post bond and was transferred to the Randolph County Justice Center.
Police also arrested a 29-year-old male for possession of marijuana on Sunday. He was later released from custody on summons with bond set at $333.50.
