MoDOT is looking at possible transportation needs along 63 in Maries, Osage and Phelps counties, from a half-mile south of the junction of highways 50 and 63 to just north of Rolla.

"We're hoping they [residents] can give us any comments they have about any concerns or problems they may know of in the study area," said MoDOT's Nicole Kolb.

Although the department's study won't be ready until the fall of 2009, Hogan is optimistic.

"I was quite pleased to see the informational meeting to come up, to let me know they are seriously considering looking at it and possibly making changes," she added.

MoDOT will hold another public meeting from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. this Thursday in the Vienna American Legion Hall.
