Moms On The Gridiron
Football and cheerleader moms in Ashland participated in the first annual Moms Powder Puff game. The Red Bulls beat the Black Widows, 28-0. But the score didn't matter. The moms saw it as a great way to have a good time.
"I just thought it would be a really fun thing for the moms to get together and have a good time. There's a lot of senior moms this year that we're going to lose at the end of this season. I thought it would be a fun thing for everyone to get together and celebrate," organizer Erin Nelson said.
The game was also a food drive for the Ashland Baptist Church. Admission was one canned food item.
