Moniteau County deputies arrest driver for meth possession
COLUMBIA - Deputies with the Moniteau County Sheriff's Office arrested a driver in California after finding methamphetamines in his car.
Deputies pulled over Kenneth R. Hemlin, 36, from Tipton for a registration violation but asked to search the car when they saw him put something under his front seat. After her refused the search, a K-9 unit was called.
K-9 Mizzou sniffed the outside of the car and gave a positive alert for drugs.
Hemlin was taken to Moniteau County Jail and held on a $40,000 bond for possession of a controlled substance.
