Moog School for the Deaf Closes Thursday
COLUMBIA - Mid-Missouri's only school for the deaf closes Thursday after ten years of existence. In May the Moog School for the Deaf announced it would not have school next year.
Last year Columbia Public Schools announced they would teach the hearing impaired from ages three to five. That's the ages some kids previously went to Moog.
The Moog school is confident CPS will continue the same type of teaching styles Moog did for ten years. CPS did hire many of the Moog teachers to teach the kids who transferred.
